Below are some of the questions we get asked regularly about our pools.

Aquanort pools can be any shape or size, Compass pools are premade in a numerous range of shapes and sizes.

We can custom build your pool to suit the site and available room.

For an Aquanort pool the standard pool depth is 1.3-1.6m deep but can be made custom to suit. Compass pools are premade to popular depths.

The most common size is 8m x 4m for a family pool but there are plenty of smaller and larger sizes available to suit our clients needs.

After our initial consultation to understand your design and requirements the pool start date will be scheduled into our calendar. Once you have paid your deposit this is confirmed.

Aquanort Pool – 5-7 weeks from start date depending on project requirements, landscaping etc.
Compass Pool – 2-3 weeks from start date depending on project requirements, landscaping etc.

Yes, if it is wet this will prolong the build process depending on the site and access.

This is completely dependent on size/location etc and pool finish/tiles chosen if it is a concrete pool. Also what features the pool is to have. e.g. Vantage self-cleaning system for a Compass pool.

We have a standard payment schedule.

Aquanort Pool: 15% deposit due on confirmation, 40% due on digging of the hole, 40% due on formation of the pool, 5% due on completion of the pool.

Compass Pool: 15% deposit due on confirmation, 40% due on arrival of pool into New Zealand, 40% due on commencement of the project, 5% due on completion of the pool.

The salt acts in the same manner as chlorine, helping to clean and sanitise your water. Salt water systems break down the salt into chlorine through electrolysis, and it’s then added to the pool through the filtration system. So, yes, even though it’s a saltwater pool, chlorine will still be present in the water.

We provide a full handover with your new swimming pool. We will train you and provide you backup when required. The four specific elements to ensure your pool runs smoothly are: circulation, filtration, good water balance and good water maintenance.

A simple guide is the three step program: 1. Sanitise, 2. Oxidise, 3. Algaecide.

Depending on size but approximately $500 per annum as long as you do regular maintenance and don’t let your pool go green.

Convert an ordinary pool to a soft swim pool, enhances water to feel soft and smooth, Improves the feel of the water and makes it sparkle, formulation of minerals for a soothing swimming experience. Convert offers UV protection for your pool, combats pH directs, acts as a water softner, helps suppress algae growth and has dual clarifiers. Test your Boric acid levels yearly to maintain between 30-50mg/L and reapply if necessary.

Below are some of the questions we get asked regularly about our spas.

Delivered locally onto a readily accessible site is $400. Other areas or if a Hi-Ab etc is required or difficult site, this will be assessed prior to delivery and charged at a time and material rate.

Depending on make and model of the spa they can range from 190Kg – 500kg

If you already have a suitable 15amp plug in the proposed spa area all of our spas come ready to go with a 15amp plug. You may need to get the faceplate changed. If you don’t have a plug in the spa area you will need to get an electrician to install although we can organise this on your behalf.

We offer Ozone as an optional upgrade on new spa purchases and we can also retro fit on most older/existing spas.

We stock Sapphire Spas which are manufactured in Melbourne, Australia and Trueform Spas which are manufactured in Auckland, New Zealand.
